Natural Horsemanship Equine Therapy - Ranch Internships

Equine TherapyPeople often ask, “Why do you raise horses?” It’s simple, we use them to change people’s lives!

Rope-Race-Ride’s internship program helps struggling young adult men become confident and independent by overcoming difficulties with the guidance and structure needed to become successful.

Interns use natural horsemanship to build confidence, leadership skills, trust, and respect. Horses bring out the best in humans and respond more like a human than any other animal helping interns learn how to set boundaries and build relationships. We are always working on our horse, which means we are always working on ourselves. Both intern and horse benefit and grow.

We also utilize equine therapy using the h3 Pyramid model, a back door approach to therapy where we use the horse as a tool in the therapy session, no couch, no air conditioning, just a good round pen and a horse. The round pen is a perfect office for Dr. Ryan Tingey, Ph.D., LCSW. Our interns get skills, authentic growth, purpose, and evidence based treatment out of their equine therapy sessions.

If you or a loved one are looking for after care, a place to learn life skills or vocational skills, overcome anxiety or depression, or are experiencing failure to launch, consider our internship program, it is life changing!
